We are so excited to announce the arrival of Reclaimed in America at The Back Dorr. They have space in the back of our warehouse that looks awesome. They have created such great work from our country’s great heritage. Their eye for design is amazing. Stop by The Back Dorr and check out their tables, custom wine cellars and architectural pieces.
Reclaimed America has been nominated for Martha Stewart’s American Made contest and is at the top of the heap in voting. They need your help. Please register and vote for Reclaimed America – you’ll be supporting American made products AND helping a locally owned business.

The Back Dorr opened to a high volume of friendly faces and a flurry of rescued furniture sales on Saturday September 7. The Back Dorr is the warehouse showroom for The Front Porch but is also an expanded site for lots of furniture rescue activities including repairs and a ton of painting. In addition The Back Dorr is a showroom for featured artisans and designers, upscaled consigned furniture and furnishings, and will be the home of future painting classes and demonstrations. We love to get our hands dirty and paint, and at The Back Dorr we can paint, paint, paint ….our furniture or yours! It is amazing what fun stuff can happen in several thousand square feet sitting in our backyard in Merrifield. Initially The Back Dorr will open on Wednesdays and Saturdays from 10 am – 6 pm, and Sundays from 1 pm – 5 pm. We will be scheduling deliveries to and from The Back Dorr throughout the week and if there is a light on we are likely painting and rescuing furniture, so knock on our door and come on in! The Front Porch on Broad Street is open everyday except Mondays, and we will be happy to send folks over to The Back Dorr by appointment. The Back Dorr has a grand loading bay door that allows easy pick up and delivery, and of course, the Foerter Boyz can always deliver furniture at a reasonable cost. So if you can’t remember where we put The Back Dorr, it is nestled in the Halstead Square area near the Dunn Loring Metro Station and a growing number of shops including a quick walk to the newest Lost Dog Cafe. Halstead Square is across Lee Highway from the vibrant Mosaic District anchored by Target and Angelika Film Center. So welcome to The Back Dorr and let’s have some fun!!!
